Airports

Most tickets for Nepal from the U.S have a lay over in India and I can't find an official statement on any India consulate page, does anyone know if you need a Transit Visa just to connect to your flight?

Hi travelingtrent, :)

I hope someone will be able to advise you.

Have a nice flight.

If you are going to stay in the airport, in the transit area, you do not need a transit visa. If you want to go out, and I don't know who would, then you need a transit visa. Don't do it. New Delhi is not a good place to hang out in for a short time.

Good luck on the flight and I know you are going to love Nepal. Don't worry about any political problems, in case you heard it is bad. It isn't and even the electric problem has lessened.

If you have any questions please let me know. I love Nepal and I want everyone to come here to see this beautiful place.

Just stay in the airport, the New airport is very nice -coffee and toasted sandwiches will hold you over.
