Special Work Permit in PHP: Can I Re-enter?

Hi All,

Let's say I have secured a work permit here in PHP for 3 month/6months/1year.
During this period, if I wish to go out from PHP (says - going back my own country for festival celebration) will my working permit be cancelled/voided if I re-enter? Is there any penalties or clearance needed when I exit or re-enter?

I heard some people said our work permit will be voided if we leave the country, hope you all could help to enlighten this.

Many Thanks.

Speak to an immigration specialist, a lawyer.

A Special Work Permit holder also needs to keep their temporary visitor's visa valid during their stay in the Philippines.

Based on that, you may need to re-apply for a Visitor visa again if you leave and return.

Normally a 'Special Work Permit' (SWP) is for assignments of under six months; over six months needs an 'Alien Employment Permit' (AEP).

You can also get a "Provisional Work Permit" for 3 months while waiting for a full employment visa 9g.
