Serbian cuisine

Hi,

When living abroad, tasting the local cuisine is part of discovering the country.

What is your favorite food in Serbia?

What is the local speciality?

Share with us the local tastes of Serbia and why not your best recipe.

Thank you in advance,

Priscilla

I want to recommend you Ajvar, it's delicious! Plus, this time of the year where homemade ajvar is made, so it's also the best time to eat it.

Thanks for sharing the video.  It's easy to follow without knowing the language.
I'm definitely going to make this.

Any suggestions to eat?
As a dip?

I usually put some cream cheese on bread and then put ajvar on top. But yes, you could also use it as a dip. You can even fry it (very briefly) and then add eggs.

Cream cheese, aw yes that is very much discovering local cuisine...given cream cheese one gets in every Tescos supermarket world-wise ... :|

There is so much, and balkans (hence serbian food) is so rich & diverse and delicious that I would have a problem with naming only one :)

Drink Yoghurt, Balance ot Family, every day :)

Drink kefir :)
