Retirees visa

I have read that if you are over 50 and deposit $50,000 you can obtain a retirement visa. Is this money held indefinetly or can you get it back once living in the philippines. I would be very grateful if any has knowledge or even experience of this type of visa. Many thanks in advance

numbat1,
I recently wrote an article on my site about visas here in the Philippines. Part of it was about the retirement visa and a link to their site. Click here
I hope it helps. My site has a lot of other information about living here.

Its best to call or email the Philippines Embassy nearest to you. They'll guide you how to obtain the retirees visa.
