Hello, this is a warning: two recently arrived british tourists walking through H.Ganado Gardens, Floriana (behind Boffa Hospital) were mugged by two foreign men mid-morning this sunday, 4th October. The woman was attacked from behind and pushed to the ground while her rucksack (with belongings) was taken from her. It was ruthless and the lady is very bruised.
When reported to the Valletta police station, they were told that this mode of attack from the back had been used before.
I'm not sure if this finds its place in this forum but I felt that the information needs to be shared. Malta is usually extremely secure and one tends to feel safe everywhere, obviously unjustly so.
