Landlines take time to get connected and with cheap call rates for mobiles it is by far the best way to get a prepaid SIM card for a mobile phone.
There are plenty of service providers to choose from for mobiles but costs are much the same for all. Lao Telecom provide landlines.
We have 7 mobiles in our house and a landline with total costs around $120 - $150 per month.
