Can foreigners work as self-employed in Ethiopia? What are the formalities to work as a freelancer?

What are the pros and cons of this status: social security, tax system, etc.?

How is the freelance market in Ethiopia?

In order to work In Ethiopia legally , you need to have work permit followed by Residence Permit.When you talk about doing freelancing , If you are on tourist visa any kind of work is illegal but if you are on business visa you can do that.

If your professional expertise is in technical fields then you can have good work.If you can be more specific I can guide you better in terms or like your legal status in Ethiopia and your work area.
