I volunteer at a rescue center for abused dogs close to Tokyo. More that 30 dogs are crammed into a small area and the lady who takes care of them relies on donations to feed and care for them. Many are sick so not only food but she also has to pay for medicine. They do need help not only financial but just people going there to play with the dogs. They are full of love.
I already keep one abused dog and will be taking another next month.
