hi there please note that if you come to Taiwan to work primarily or have a working visa that it is illegal by law to do anything other than what your visa stipulates. You could face deportation. There are expats that do volunteer but are also willing to take that risk. If you come on a volunteer visa then it should be okay but then you cannot legally work in Taiwan- keep that in mind.
