Recreational versus building plot

Hi

I am gearing up to move to the tri city area and as a construction fanatic am considering buying plots of land for eco tourism.
Can anyone advise what is the main difference between the two? I imagine that recreational is less stringent but limited in terms of building footprint.But imagination is often less than reality.Also can you live all year on recreational land or is it like here 9 months within a twelve month period.
I am roaring over like a lion in October just when its getting cold so I expect to be shivering like a lamb if I dont hit the ground running.I want to catch the 2016 season Putin permitting.

Hi, Not sure of you made it here yet but just to let you know that it is still not possible to buy land which would be considered as agricultural. Not sure exactly what you are looking to buy but if I can be of some assistance let me know more.
