Hello,
I work in New York and I'm trying to change careers and move into humanitarian affairs. It can be a difficult field to break into and several friends who work at the UN suggested I pick up and move to Jordan (as Amman is a major hub for the international response to Syria and Iraq). They felt confident that I could land work at an agency once I was in country (even if I don't speak Arabic).
Just curious if anyone on this page works in the humanitarian affairs sector and if you think this is a good idea. Jordan seems like a very intriguing place and I have some familiarity with the region.
Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks
