The Cuenca cognoscenti are known to hang out at the Cuenca forum of Expat.com, with special emphasis on the Unofficial web site of the greater Cuenca expat community, Nards Barley alcalde.

You can use the searchbox atop this page to navigate over to that vecindario.

Olas, if you don't use an iPad, hate the whole idea of watching birds and don't need to ship household goods, here are a couple more websites that may offer events and meetings to suit your needs....

One of the popular spots is Common Grounds. They serve food, have live music on specified nights, and a full bar. Lot's of pats show up there. If you go to their Face Book page, they post daily specials, when bands are scheduled, and of course, they have big screen televisions, and the place rocks during the NFL season, much as The Inca Lounge does.
If you go to either of these places, you'll easily strike up conversations with other gringos, and they'll be happy to fill you in on other venues.
Welcome to Cuenca.
