> energy prices (oil, electricity) : Grid electricity is cheap almost $150 per month but power breakdowns are common some times you don't have electricity even for continues 12 hours which cause increase in power budget up to $300 per month.

> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone) : $125 per month

> price for a good menu in a traditional restaurant: $18 for three person

> price for a coffee or a drink : coca cola can 50 cent.

> price for cinema tickets : Ihave not seen any cinema yet.

My Linehouse 2 Bed, Parlour, WC and Shower, Kitchen, Veranda.
1,500 Dalasi a Month, £280.00 a Year....!!!!!

Rich, was that through a rental agency? Can you give me names and website addresses or phone numbers? And what can you tell me about the area? Is it mostly enhabited by expats or locals? It is rural?

No rental agency's.. I don't use them, but there a quite a lot rental agency..
Just look around, in Supermarket's, with signs to Linehouse's, They start 800 D to 6,000 D.
Expats or and Locals, the whole of Gambia is Rural, apart from the Tourists area...!!!!
I found Lamln Bojong in 2001.. Been a Great Friend, His Num  is  +2207811283
He finds what You want, He's using My Jeep now He has is Driving Licence, Takes to pickup's for the Airport.
My friend Karen has a Bungalow, in Old Yundum, 5,000 D to Month 2 bedrooms, Parlour, Shower and WC, Kitchen.

They charge goes up every week in the supermarkets  costing twice as much as in the UK and accomodatipn cist 12000 dalasis a month in bijalo so not cheap mechanics dont fix ur cars properly so get pais 3/4 times for the same jobs  the minute they see ur white the prices double so you have to walk away until someone charges the correct amount bijalo medical inic is excellent and no where near the prices of afrimed which I spent 11 days in cisting  over 60000 dalasis and was sent out with pneumonia and a white blood cell count of 78 million which within just over a week bijalo clinic cured everything at a cost of 10000 dalasis including 3 nights in on intravenous antibiotics I cant praise them enough the driving is atrocious but hey what do wd exlect most European drivers are courteos
