Requirements for Family Visa

Dear All,

I am new member to this forum, recently shifted to Oman from India. I am bit confused and tensed about family visa.
Can some one clarify the same to me, about procedures and rules.

1. I have found that my resident card has some technician word in Arabic, and people told me that I can not get family before 6 month. Is that true , even if my salary is more than 600 OR.

2. I will be on probation in the company for 3 months, so does that means I cant apply for visa for my family.

3. Rule of 6 month as such exists ? Many people told me that I can get family on visit visa but I don't want to do that as studies of my kid will be disturbed. Currently he is in Class 2 in India.

Please help me to get clarify.
