Hey Maxi

Drivers  in tanzania are very disciplined. Not many roads here to drive and at any time the roads are filled with vehicles. traffic is a big issue here. so no excess speed... no crazy drivers/ bikers. Road conditions are normal and accidents are very frequent by the boda boda (bike taxi).
Traffic polices are very concerned about road safety rules. Sometimes they can be irritant.

As a foreigner (white so rich, they think)  it's better not to drive in Tanzania yourself. The currupt police will stop you and let you pay a huge amount before they let you move on. They just give it a name like a daytax to drive there. The government knows this but don't do anything about it.

Traffic police in Tanzania is a big problem. They are hiding in road bends with speed meter to check your car speed. People don't know whether that machine is calibrated or not. these people are also one of main causes for traffic jam in Dar Es Salaam city. Roads are two, four or six lane, drivers are good but the traffic police are not able to control properly. Their main interest is spot fine.
Motor vehicle tax stickers are also one issue. Many authorities and several stickers. You have to put those stickers in the windshield and those are covering a portion of the windshield and blocking drivers view.
