Driving

do most expats in baguio area have cars

I know i few who do....but Baguio is a very small community and you can get to every corner easily with a taxi or jeep (local transport) so many expats are reluctant in getting a car. Besides there is the hassle of getting driving licence. When i was there i got a motor cycle but gave it away due to heavy rains i could not use it that much.

But getting a car is entirely on you, if you like to drive your self and maybe would like to travel to manila every now and then or other provinces, then getting a car is ok.

Thank you very much for your insight here as well as your promptness .It is appreciated.

When I visited there last year, I was surprised at the volume of Taxis.  So easy to get one, and I did wonder if using Taxis all the time would actually be cheaper.

I did decide not to stay there though, too remote for me.
