Hello I have a question. To get and pay for private healthcare in the DR do you need to be a Permeant Resident or can you get coverage with Temporary status ?. Also are there really good healthcare plans with someone with Type 1 Diabetes that will cover everything ?

No you do not need to have your permanent residency and not even sure if you need your temporary.
Do a search on the subject and you will find posts on multiple companies.
Do note that most will have a waiting period on pre existing conditions so your diabetes may not be covered for a period of time.

Make sure to specifically ask about your condition. More companies are excluding certain conditions and Type I diabetes may be one of them.
