It would be very useful to talk about the cost of living in the Vanuatu.

How much does it cost to live in the Vanuatu?

> health prices (for those who need medical insurance)
> eduction prices (if you need to pay)

> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone)
> prices of a good menu in a traditional restaurant
> prices of a beer and or a coffee in a regular pub

heard it is expensive to live here how much is it from week to week are tourist able to spend a week for $1000 aud

Hi:
$1000 wouldn't go far. We spent 5 days in vila (Sunday night to Friday Morning) and spent at least that much, not including airfares nor accomodation. However - we did some tourist stuff, and dined in the resort for 3 nights (dear as poison).
However - we had no local knowledge at all. We did indeed find cheaper places to eat etc. When we go back, we'll know where to go (and avoid) and as we know people there now we have a bit more of a network.

That is horrible!
We are planning to go there for a month this summer (juli for us up north). Can anyone give a heads up for cheap places to stay? Do not mind village stays from time to time, but a shower every now and then is appreciated.
Also cheap places to dine n' eat is great to know about
