Things to do in Puerto Rico during the weekends

Hi,

What do you usually do on your weekends in Puerto Rico?

Are there any places to visit, any activities, any events or festivals regularly organized you would like to recommend?

What are your top tips for the weekend in Puerto Rico?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience, ;)

Christine

Saturday mornings in Old San Juan there is the Mercado Agrícola Natural in the courtyard of the Museum of San Juan.  Lots of fun - good produce, baked goods, locally made crafts and sometimes there is a massage therapist, yoga instructors, etc.

If you go, look for the vendor selling lemonade with ginger - it's outstanding!

We usually combine a visit to the market with a stroll along Paseo la Princesa (there's usually lots going on there too on the weekends) and up to the forts.

Is that market every weekend? And that is the museum across from El Morro? I'd like to check it out!

I believe it is every weekend.  It's on Calle Norzagaray - kind of in between El Morro and San Cristóbal.

I forgot to mention the breads - there is a vendor that sells a homemade pumpkin bread that is fantastic!!
