Relocating to Malta.Need advice re Car transportation from Uk to Malta

Good evening,

My family and I are considering relocating to Malta. I got a quote from Express Trailers to get my car down to Malta. I purchased my Suzuki Grand Vitara 2.0 litre 9 years ago. The car is registered under my name. How much would it cost me to register my car in Malta? Is there a form I need to fill in advance?

I know you will be import tax exempt as you've owned for more than 2 years but won't be able to sell without paying it..

Do u mind me asking how much they quoted u? I'm looking to get mine shipped down..

Our total expenses are as follows:

Freight: Eur 900.00
Insurance: Eur 25.91 (based on Eur 6025 value - freight + value of car + 10%)
Car body inspection: Eur 35.00
VAT: Eur 168.30
Total: Eur 1129.21
