You may not find villas there, but its a dog friendly area - in fact it has a park in which dogs are regularly walked around the lake. If you want a villa, then look also at Sri Hartamas, Bukit Damansara, and Sunway Rymba Hills. The only issue may be traffic congestion driving into KLCC and of course parking. Most of the modern gated communities lie further away from KLCC.

Its not gated per se, but I think there may be a couple of small collections of houses that have arranged security. But it may not have anywhere to comfortably walk dogs.

Suggest you put a housing wanted ad in the section and get suggestions from agents who have relevant properties. You don't pay any finders fee, the owner does. Its not so much about where you like as what is available as most of those place are stable communities.

Bangsar Baru is also an option and has good facilities and large https://www.expat.community. You can potentially take the train to KLCC as well. But it wont be gated.

Planning how you will access KLCC is important as there is currently no public transport from the areas that are close to the British Int. School.
