Looking to meet people for outings...

Hello Ex Pats...

A gay married couple here, just moved to PR about a month ago... we are looking to meet open minded friends for outings. We were thinking of just actually going down the puerto rico day trips list and seeing how much of it we can get done...we are mostly laid back people who like all sorts of stuff from snorkeling to mudslinging in a 4x4 to ziplining and maybe even skydiving.... kinda just go where the flow takes us. We haven't really made many friends here yet and we are still learning Spanish, we know very little but working on it. If anyone is interested post up and we'll see if we can't explore this island.

Where do you live?  I am working on friend-making and have some ideas.  They involve books, ukuleles, artists and exploring PR, not necessarily at the same time. I am not married or gay but don't let that stop you!  I live in Palmas del Mar on the east coast, so I only go to the Rincon area on special occasions (like when I am invited or I want to check out those hot surfers).  I also have a place in Arroyo in the southeast and stay overnight when I do not want to drive back.  I think you can send me a private message somehow through this blog.  My email address is [email protected].
BTW, for other blog-people, if you are interested in a get-together, keep in touch.  Yes, I know that I should be cautious about meeting strangers on internet, but, to quote Mommie Dearest, "It's not my first time at the rodeo."

Oh I wish we were down there full time and could meet all of you!  We're coming back to Rincon next Feb. for 4 weeks and hope to keep inching up the time frame for how long we are there.  Have fun!

My stomping ground is the South Coast, Ponce. Not may Americans here but lots to do culturally without the business of San Juan.I also am an organic farmer with an interesting piece of land overlooking Ponce and the Caribbean. I will not be back in PR until late October as I am finishing up some business in Asheville, NC. I also keep busy with an airbnb home in Ponce but we can stay in touch when you would like to visit the South coast area. I am not to much into adrenaline packed adventures but we I do have some nice hiking trails around my farm. Any one else visiting this site I would be happy to introduce them to our little explored part of the Island.

Definitely keep in touch.  Me gusta Ponce.  Also, there is an organization I discovered that sounds interesting. The website is paralanaturaleza.com.  It is somewhat like the Sierra Club or Adirondack Mountain Club.  I have not tried any of their tours yet.

I live in Fajardo and this is a jumping off spot for lots of water sports...I'm looking for a dive buddy or someone who wants to go to Culebra snorkeling...one or a party...

Right now we are jumping back and forth between Fajardo and Las Marias. We have found something we really like in Las Marias and are waiting on the agent to come back with the land layout... We are available most days.

Mrkpytn... we would love to see the place... I was born in Spartanburg, SC and have been to Asheville many many times...

frogrock... I'll be checking out the website and the artists thing sounds interesting...

Sugarbird...we just started snorkeling and have yet to be really adventurous to far from land LOL... it sounds like a nice little trip we will take you up on that one day once we get settled...

Let me know if you are ever in the Cabo Rojo area. We love to meet new people and explore new areas and towns. Sometimes we just really enjoying having a nice meal, good class of wine and great conversation!

Sugarbird, I'm in SJ but totally up for an outing. I love to explore new places and puertoricodaytrips has been m Bible :) My kids are out of school for the summer but when they go back (the first week of August) I'd be up for some snorkeling!

Looking for friends my age, 54. Have been in Rincon now for two months. I enjoy going out once or twice a week. Dinner, live music, etc...

Sounds like a plan...

Hey BearNva,

We are in Rincon.  I hang out with Jackie some (on this blog).  There's lots of live music here and places to go out to eat, etc.  Bit of a slow start for me and my kiddos, but I think there is a lot of potential here to have fun in Rincon :)

Hi there,
Im looking for the same thing.  My son wakes up everyday and off he goes with his friends surfing, skateboarding, whatever. I am 54, single, straight just looking for friends to hang out with. I am going on 3 months here in Rincon and love it!!
I go snorkeling  3-4 times a week, go to the casino once every two weeks, and occasionally hit happy hour at various places here in Punras.
