Are there any Texas Holdem players out there?

I am in Rincon and I love to play Texas Holdem. I drive to Mayaquez twice a week to play at the Tropical Casino, $35 buy in. What is your buy-in and how far are you from Rincon?

Hi Jackie, thanks for responding about Texas Holdem games. . Right now we are trying to get people who like to play. There hasn't been many responses except for yourself and a couple of people from San Juan. So we are still in the planning stages. We plan on having at least 14-21 people.

Hopefully in August we will have some family members coming over who like to play and we may have a game set up. As far as the buy-in, we have to decide what it will be. I will keep you informed as to our progress. We are about 1/2-45 mins from Rincon. We are off of Rte. 2 after Isabela. It is a fairly short ride.

We often see the Tropical Casino and have yet to visit it. Since they have Texas Holdem, we may go there sooner than later. We have gone to the Aguadilla casino- Courtyard Marriott but they only have blackjack and three card poker and many machines.

If you come in contact with anyone else who likes to play Poker please contact me and we may be able to get a game going before August.

      We happened to go over to the Tropical Casino last night because it was Wed. and it was also my birthday and there was no game. We asked and were told that last Monday was the last game but that on Friday, Sat. and Sunday, there was going to be a game of Texas Holdem but a regular game and the buy in is $100.00 with no rebuys.   So we may go one day or go to Ponce to the Holiday Inn there which is also Tropical Casino.

     We stayed a while, I got a card, played some slots, some craps and roulette. My hubby did okay at Roulette but gave me some of his winnings to play slots which I lost but we had fun. We got a drink at the bar and saw that they have Salsa Lessons and I asked the bartender when and she said that the person should be arriving any minute and it was 8:30p but I kept looking over to see if anyone was there and there wasn't.  It just leads me to not believe everything that is planned.

     We will have to look for another place to play Poker or at someone's house.  Will let you know when we plan something.

How odd. I have played several times there on Monday and Thursday nights...

My husband and I are moving to Isabela in August and he's interested in playing. Please keep us all updated on time and place! We're living in San Juan now.

Jackie, perhaps the decided to change after Monday. You did say the Tropical Casino in the Holiday Inn? Not the other hotel in Mayaguez? I heard that the other hotel is under reno but that the casino is open.
We will let you know when we get a game going. It won't be until the beginning of the month and we play tournament style

I would like to get a game going at my place in Rincon tonight or tomorrow  night,  if you have to travel bring an air mattress, we have plenty of room, a pool, a nice patio with a bbq, and walking distance to sandy beach.
