Hi Everyone,

Let me introduce myself......This is Ashwani Gupta from India. I am planning to move to Uruguay with my spouse and 9 yrs old Son. I have around 10 years of IT experience as Project Manager. It would be great if my friends in this forum can help me understand the job market in Uruguay specially in IT sector. Also what kind of challenges I may face initially when I move to this place.

I have no direct experience in Uruguay but I would think that as in other Spanish-speaking South American countries

1) jobs are going to be hard to come by and the first shot at them would probably go to native Uruguayans (although there may be some IT sectors where that's not so, Project Manager is not likely to be one of those areas), and

2) a solid, fluent command of the Spanish language would be necessary
