The way I got my most recent job in Colombia was to search for people on LinkedIn who worked in my field (secondary school teaching), and then add them as contacts. If they accepted me as a contact, then I would write them a message asking if their school was hiring teachers. I got my current job that way, and I also got invited to three interviews through that process.
