very sorry to hear abt ur friend.

I've read online that a WHO associate professor said that the only way to tackle and defeat any kinda disease (including cancer which he did a case study on) is by regulating and boosting ur immune system which will in turn cure the cancer.

I have a product to recommend which my mom (lung cancer stage 4) and my grandmom (bone cancer stage 4) both which the doctor predicted with only 6 mths to live since 2011 and are still alive and well on the road to recovery (both currently improved to stage 2) without any chemo.. It is sad to realize that most people only think of hospitals as the last resort for a cure, a fast fix or a lasting solution.

Though Singapore is a known regional hub where modern medical faculties, practices and treatments are concerned there are also the lesser known traditional practices that are equally efficient if not even better in success or cure rate and/or thru the provision of integrated medical practices.

Diver7up: You are implying that, for cancer treatment (which is the topic of this long dormant thread), traditional practises are equally efficient as modern science-based medicine.
This is patently nonsense, as numerous studies have shown. Traditional medicine has genuine advantages when it comes to prevention and simple ailments, but recommending it for serious, life-threatening conditions is wrong and can cause additional suffering and even lead to preventable deaths.
Please stop doing it on this forum!

With due respect, I beg to differ.

I do not wish to prolong this unnecessary rejoinder however, I must state that I am an actual beneficiary of such traditional practices when my lung and respiratory specialist and another equally popular oncologist gave up on me even to the extent of asking my spouse to prepare for my demise citing that  the chemotherapy that was being administered against my advanced stage IV adenocarcinoma had failed to respond positively.

I am not advocating that everyone should seek this kind of traditional practices but rather stating the fact that such said practices do exist.

I believe I have not contravened any regulations here by voicing factual statement and if I have, my apology.

I know people in Indonesia who used traditional treatments due to lack of cash to pay hospital bills.
All share to same 100% lack of worry about their cancer as they're all dead.

Yes, miracles do happen occasionally: I myself took care  of an old lady who, in the final stages of intestinal cancer, was sent home to die within weeks (all treatment was stopped!), only for the cancer to recede completely and her being still healthy (though bedridden due to irreversible damage) two years later.
But these, like similar recoveries with traditional treatment, are probably one-in-a-million coincidences, or may be caused by the often underestimated human willpower - if you believe something would help, chances are that it does, regardless of its scientific workings (this is the well-known Placebo effect).
But I have also encountered a sad case of irresponsible Singapore parents who insisted (against doctors' advice) on only traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) treatments for the cancer of thei child and by the time he was finally admitted to a proper hospital there was nothing that could be done any more other than providing for a pain-free death.
