I am looking for month by month accommodation

Hi I'm Geoff from England. I'm arriving at Colombo on Monday next 1st June. I am looking for month by month accommodation for a mature single. I will base myself in Kandy or Trincomalee if anybody has any ideas?

I am visiting to see the places my father served in the Second World War but I am also a keen and experienced yachtsman.

I have an open plan...depending on affordability I might stay anything from 2 weeks to 6 months....I'm in Thailand at the moment.
