Making a Camera Bag

I've been carrying cameras around for a few years, always looking for better ways to transport it.
I've tried all sorts but settled on a light neoprene cover, using the camera's strap to save carrying it in my hand.
The reason is simple - I do street snapping, so the camera needs to be out of the case when I'm wandering, but protected when I'm not using it.
The bag becomes a pain when it's just hanging off your shoulder empty, but the neoprene cover just pops into my small rucksack out of the way. You could easily stuff the cover in your pocket if you don't carry all the rubbish I have with me.

I can hardly see a camera bag fully made of leather, but I know some DSLR pr SLR camera bags are made of canvas with leather zippers. So, if I recommend, I'll show you a canvas one which is the best seller on Amazon now. this Waterproof Canvas DSLR Camera Shoulder Bag is from BESTEK.

Leather would be too heavy when you also carry extra lenses and filters. Even my Think Tank 20 became heavy after a bit of walking, and it's made of canvas.

I know you SLR lads really like to carry the kitchen sink around but there are solutions.

I certainly used to do that, but now I only carry one extra lens (zoom, wide angle, or 35 mm, depends on the day and the location), filters, and a small cleaning kit -- all of them essential. I even gifted my high quality tripod to son-in-law so I wouldn't have to worry about it being stolen.

Still, the camera bag is heavy after a while. Spouse doesn't mind being my pack mule so it's his job carrying it.
