Question about health insurance in Dom. Rep

Hi Everyone,
Looking to see if anyone can help me out.

My parent which are both 75 years old and currently moved back to Santiago, Dominican Republic.  I was born here in the United States and I do not know much of the rules and regulations in that country.

I am looking to get them health insurance out there.  Any suggestions.  I was told that they are probably too old to get insurance.

However, someone else said that if I were to get insurance for myself that I can add them to my insurance policy but I am not Dominican I am American so I do not know how I would be able to do this.  I was told that Palic insurance was a good one but I don't know if this is true or not.

Any suggestions?  Any information will be great.

Thank you
nancy

You can get insurance but your parents cannot. Sorry!

No insurance for them. They will have to rely on Medicare which is not accepted here so if a problem and not an emergency they will need to head back to the US
