Work Visa Got on 2015?

Nope,, Even i am waiting from 2 months same story.

What you are you two waiting for?  LC or work visa?  I received LC mid December and presume my work visa was applied for at that time.  If so, then I have been waiting for a work visa for almost 6 weeks.  I did see someone on this forum say they received their work visa earlier in January.

On PDO, I was waiting my visa since 8/12/2014.

So, all of us have to wait 3-6 months.

I hope my visa will come on May to go to Oman on June after my sons finish there school this year, the reason of my waiting even I have do not working since two years, is no school in Oman accepting my sons with them this year.

                Foolish Management System & Rules,  If they like to give the offer means clear the LC & Visa under 1 month, otherwise they reject the application its enough. Why we are waiting for 3-6 months its too late like singapore visa process in maximum 15 days. Idiotic Rules....................!

I have no idea why you are losing your temper. You yourself said in other post that it was your "good" decision to leave the job as you were told that you will get your visa within a month. What I am trying to say is that you could have researched it before resigning. See I am waiting from past 6 months. It is how it is when things get professional in Oman. And its not started this year or last year but increased since last year. People faced problems 3-4 yearw back also. I would suggest you to keep patience bro. Everything will be fine.

              This the fact & All Omani Company's are know that then why they give offer letters & Say "will sent the visa copy on a month time". U know one thing my original certificate (Diploma Civil) hold in my proposed employer, the HR got my OG certificate then only starts my LC process still they don't get it. When asking by mails he say wait some time otherwise cancel the process & send back my certificates.
What's the assurance of they will get the visa, after 6 months the company says " sorry your application rejected". That  time what will do we lose other Offers ,Time &  Money(attestation, medical& courier).

I know what you are saying. But is there anything you can do? No!

I would still say that have patience and if you get another good offer take it in India itself.

I was same like you when my process started but now I am getting used to it.

Yesterday my prospective HR  confirm my visa, he will get the visa below 15 days, the waiting to be complete(4 months).
Now i am very Happy to say this. Hope We will get  the Visa as soon as early & pray for it.

Hi Iam Arun, i have studied your messages. Just now only i couriered my documents to my HR in oman. They told me 3 to 4 weeks i  will get LC. after seeing friends messages i need plan properly. I will for you guys, soon you will get the LC and VISA.

Just a correction please always use upper case of first letter of every country. For example....Oman not oman. Its a request. Respect every country. Hope this message doesn't give an "oucchh" moment to anyone.

I got an update from my manager and HR. They confirmed by this month end i am getting the LC and based on the LC next two days they will release the VISA.

Today I got my Employment Visa and I've noticed that my name is misspelled (not like passport).
PDO HR told me it is OK since the passport number is correct.

What do you think? is it OK?
I will no face any problems in the airport?

My co-brother's sponsor told him that his labour clearance is finished and is expecting the employment visa any time.  Meanwhile, the employer does not want to miss his services, so he told him that he will arrange a visiting visa so that he can come to Oman and work.  Meanwhile, when he gets the employment visa, he can get the contract. What is your advise?

It's not a big issue.

Once you reach here, Just inform the PRO of the same and they will change the spelling of your name once you visit the Resident card office to receive your official card.

   I am doing good and thank you sir,  hope you are doing good, the employment visa will be 2 years valid you might be know that, Now if he come on visiting visa he can work 21 days from date of arrival, at presently due to Ramadan festival  R.O.P works only 3.30 hours per day, so visa process may be slow. so if already his L.C cleared he must get visa by within 15 Days. I think this month will delay now. Better to let him come and join through visit visa and once he get his Visa company will hire 2 years as usual. If company is hiring no issue on that.. Once he get his visa he will be direct employee for 2 yrs..

Thanks for your useful reply. Actually he got an express visa which is valid until 15th July 2015. He went to Oman and now he is in Sohar.  His employer is telling him that his employment visa can be got by that date. But I think in your case, it took nearly one month after the LC. Then how come u are saying that within 15 days he will get his employment visa. Pl confirm. Thanks

Today i got reply from my manager

"There are some unexpected delays for processing the labour clearance. We have currently recruited couple of people and the next clearance process can be started once we complete all formalities of the recruited people. One of the recruited person is stuck in India for the last two weeks for immigration clearance. We expect the all these issues will be resolved by next week end and then apply for your labour clearance."

I am a specialist doctor by profession. I got Employment visa yesterday. My employer says they've submitted the original visa at Muscat Airport. They've issued a copy of the receipt for the same along with the Visa copy.
Here's the timeline in my case:
Medical fitness testing- 4th July
Fitness report issued- 6th July
Couriered documents (DHL)- 8th July
Courier received in Oman- 13th July
Submitted docs for Visa processing- 23rd July (submission delayed due to Eid holidays)
Ministry clearance- 3rd August
ROP clearance (Visa issued)- 25th August

Kindly retrace your timelines from the first prometric..and do i have to fly to Oman for the viva. Skype? perhaps. I have posted my CV here as well as forwarded it to some hospitals. Am I throwing my net too shallow? I understand i need an offer of employment before the viva date is set anyway..correct me if i am wrong.
