Where to buy a car in Malta?

Hello
Could you advise me what is the best website to buy used cars in Malta? I am looking for BMW X6

many thanks

Premier Cars specialise in high end vehicles like the X6. They have showrooms in Burmarrad, Gzira and Zebbug. Don't know anything about their quality of service.

You can also try Gauci Automobiles in Birkirkara and Emotion Imports in Santa Venera.

Lambada many thanks for reply.

What do you think how much prices in Malta are higher compare to Europe ( more/less % ) ?

all the best,
Kacper

Cars cost more here than in most European countries. Don't know by how much, sorry.

all cars are expensive in Malta

If you buy in EU and import the car you will have to pay the very high registration tax.

Terry

Malta expensive but if you do what the Maltese do and purchase a car in Gozo its cheaper apparently you get a better deal. I was advised ro do this.
Theres a much higher rate here to purchase a car than any other european country, pretty much because theres no one regulating the EU compliance with the Maltese government.
Main website is Malta park for car sales but you may find these out of date quite often.

Second hand cars are much the same price on Gozo or Malta. Its difficult to judge because you need to compare car for car and each car will have slightly different mileage, trim level, history ect but I have never noticed any great price difference.

If anything you should be able to negotiate a better price in Malta as there are more second hand car showrooms and more competition .

Terry

i think its not what you know its who you know in my experience. Certainly between the people ive met in Maltese circles its who they introduce you too and where they take you that you discover these things. Been quite an eye opener.

Absolutely spot on.

Terry

Car hire firms are also  a good source of second hand cars, they tend to sell some off at the end of each season.

They may have a few small dings but the price will reflect that.

Terry

Never thought of that Terry, thanks for the tip It may be worth looking into.

Find HERE some ads for X6

Don't get confused about the few cheap ads, this is just scam  ;)
