Healthcare in French Polynesia

Hi,

how does the healthcare system work in French Polynesia ? Is it efficient ?

What are the main differences between public and private sectors?

Is it recommended to purchase private health insurance in French Polynesia?

Thanks in advance for sharing your experience !

Julien

the healthcare system is free for the local resident if you are a Expart You Should to pay a subscription per month about 20% of your salary. to
a little pressure
all included pension security and health (hospitalization and refund a portion of medical expenses)

Thank you Marcmalet for contributing ;)

Isn't 20% a little high. I am moving to Raiatea next year and am taking my blue cross with me. I have already confirmed that blue cross will now pay for procedures in French Polynesia although i may have to pay first and seek reimbursment

Permanet Residents of France can move to Tahiti. They are covered by French medical system. No worries.
