My husband is an 8yrs experienced IT professional who has recently got an offer from kuwait (offered salary-900 KD per month).We have never been to this part before ,hence are completely without any idea of the average salary of IT ppl in this experience bracket.Besides ,they said they will only cover his medical insurance ,which means we need to find some umbrella for me.
So pls help us to understand things better and take an informed decision ,if possible:
- Will the salary suffice an expat family of 2/3?
-how is the living cost there ,full furnished condo/flat, small car life?
-what are the essential costs which need extra attention ?
-any clarifications we should get from the organization before deciding?

Help to move to Kuwait - is 900 KD a good offer for a family of 3.
Rent : 200 Apprx (One BHK apartment)
You can manage with another KD 200/- being food, grocery, chicken, mutton, fish..etc
Car: 75-100 KD instalment... (mid range)
Kids education: 75 per month for one child..
GOVT provides medical for expats. So no need to worry.
In addition, company provides medical insurance for staff or family in PVT hospital...
You will manage to save around 300 KD per month...
As per your experience it is not a good offer .I can suggest you how much you should get if you tell me about your technology and current salary and in which sector you have got the offer. You will have to pay rent for one bhk unfurnished hosue KD 320-350 and for furnished house KD 400-420 per month, other expenes will be same as what Mohd.noor mentioned. Company should provide free medical and travel allowance to India every year or two years.
