I'm looking to buy a suit in the Sliema, Gzira and Valletta area most likely.
Can anyone recommend a good boutique type shop or tailor?
I know I can look in the following chains and if any one has any experiecne in them, that would be helpful too.

Bortex in Sliema, the one inside plaza is better than the one outside and for around 800 euro they do made to measure.

Bortex sell the Gagliardi brand mentioned in the original post. The Valletta store is small. Best ones are the one at Plaza in Sliema and Baystreet in St Julians. This might sound a bit over the top but if you need several, tailor-made suits and shirts it's worth considering getting them made in Southeast Asia (Bangkok is a good option). The savings you make will cover the cost of the flight.
