Working Limit of student.

I am student at Ålesund. We have working permit of 80 hours. But currently I have working hours around 120 -130. I am first year student and need to renew visa for second year study. My academic score is good enough. But I am scared of visa extension. Are UDI very strict on this ? . I have heard and know many friends from my university who are working more that 120 but got the visa. My company and boss also knows that I can only work for 80 hours. Does any have idea on this ?? Are the UDI very strict on this matter.

Yes UDI is quite strict and may refuse you the visa. They have made this rule to prevent foreign workers to misuse the student status to get a full time job. However, if you can prove you are really a student and that you actually need that money to pay for studies and cost of living, it should go ok. Just be prepared to submit some documentation and maybe the visa process to take a little more time.
