How much does it cost to live in Greece?

accommodation prices

€400/month for 2 bed 100 sq metre apartment, top floor

> public transportation fares (tube, bus etc.) 1.20 for 70 mins €4 day pass

> food prices (your monthly budget) €250 - use the veg markets, they have great produce and are generally cheap

> health prices - €30/month for private medical insurance. interamerican has a good one for couples last time is was getting quotes

> energy prices (oil, electricity) water €150 for year, electric €1400 for year

> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile) internet tv and phone with ote €60 per month with 32mb vsdl. cosmote make up the prices as they go for mobiles, vodafone have good contracts from €35/month with any network calls, sms and data

> price for a good menu in a traditional restaurant - have had great deals in plaka for €15 per person to €50 per person in tavernas with acropolis view

> price for a coffee or a drink - 1.30 at everest but upto €5 depending where you go but average is around 2.50-3 per coffee (freddo cap), beer can be cheap or expensive - 3.50 in local bar in Glyfada for 400ml. but have paid silly amounts in some bars in gazi and thessio, also avoid the expensive places out in the suburbs

> price for cinema tickets - cheaper than uk. can get deals with cosmote for you on wednesday but then you have to deal with cosmote

>fuel - around 1.40 a litre for unleaded €6.00 fills my 125 scooter which does about 80km per tank but it is old and falling to pieces

To make a reliable "survey" from which you can extract data and trends, you need to ask specific questions and design it to require consistent responses. Asking us to "talk about" the items you mentioned makes your task of extracting rational and consistent responses practically impossible. Writing an essay on this on our part, is highly time consuming as well, so not many would take you up on this project, whereas many more of us would be happy to click in boxes that already have the answer that best fits our experiences. The fact that you are asking this from a multilingual audience with vastly different linguistic skills makes the task close to impossible. The evidence is already here from just two responses! * fancy/celebration/guest mood: (The above + supermaket/imported products) €  250 for 2)

* UNK (the only time I went to the hospital, examination and prescription was free)

> education prices: N/A (Erasus students benefit from many advantages)

> energy prices (oil, electricity) No need for oil (cab is €5-€15 from downtown to suburb); domestic electicity €50 a month

> common bills (Internet, television, telephone, mobile phone)
Internet/landline: ~€30; mobile €15; water ~€25; no TV; building fees €11 (all a month)

Generally:
* Long-distance fares (national, including ferry): cheap (€15-40)
