I've just joined Expat.com, and like others I'm hoping to make the move across to Vanuatu. If all goes well, I could be there by November.
I work as a freelance writer/photographer and graphic designer. There's enough work to keep me busy, I'm just wondering if there was much an an art scene in Port Vila. I have been a part of a few small artist run initiatives and would like to be part of the same ARI community in Vanuatu (if one exists)?
I'm planning on visiting for a week, mid year just to get a feel for the place. If anyone has any recommendations regarding the social side of things, please let me know.

Hi Georgie,
I too am a Queensland photographer looking at moving to Port Vila mid November. I however don't plan to do business there - it's more a 1/2 gap year with the family. Just thought I would pop in and introduce myself - seems we have a bit in common.
