I hope to move to Malta in the next few years but am going to rent my house in Uk and leave it furnished is it possible to get good deals on rented furnished apartments at a reasonable price.

Just to say that unfurnished rental properties in UK seem to go better than furnished and there is a slightly better Council Tax condition for unfurnished.
Also, tenants in unfurnished properties, with their own furniture tend to look after the property better and more likely to want longer term contracts. (My experience.)
