is monaco friendly to retirees?

Who is willing of sharing some experiencees with us and also advise ?

We are retired professionals, academicians..and are thinking of re-locating to MONACO early in 20111. Live there a min of 6 months and the other 6 in the USA and Japan to begin with; and eventually full time in MONACO.

We like hiking, outdoors activities, reading, traveling, photography, classical music, performing arts, travel/ sailing/ painting and chess etc.

Any info/ advise / etc , we are certain, would help us.  Thanks !
