Hello Mido_Cesar,

Welcome to Expat.com :)

Could you give us a little introduction on yourself? And what are looking for exactly as information apart from making friends since you are not in Lubumbashi yet?

Just a little tip, we also have a French speaking forum for Lubumbashi. It is not just a translation of the English forum to French but a forum in it's own right where the members can communicate in French. You can have a look at both to make new friends and find useful information. :) Just follow the above link.

Please do not post any personal information in this forum including but not limited to phone numbers, mailing addresses, age, e-mail addresses or any other identifying information.

In general this should not be done anywhere on the Internet where it is publicly available/searchable. There are people that have ulterior motives and could use your information in an inappropriate manner. @kuladeepreddy, it seems strange that someone asking about security doesn't seem to be at all concerned about their online security.

Thank you.

Hi,

You can feel safe in DRC - Kinshasa or Lubumbashi.   You may not be able to freely walk the streets in Kinshasa.  Especially the markets being a new comer.  Other than that its  as safe as you live in your home town.
