How polluted your place is?

I will transfer to a subordinate branch in Beijing next month. Now I'm doing the list, and the only thing I consider different is pollution.  Besides taking my beloved Clair air purifier (go-clair.com), I cannot come up with anything else. What I need in China that I don't have in Australia at the moment?

If you have any experience with pollution at your place, please share.

Why don't you post in Beijing forums, it would get more feedback.
I just went to Beijing 3 months ago, and air purifier has been a huge business over there. The Clair looks neat and portable, good for you.

Imo, you can buy mask, and well, deal with it.

Good luck!

You don't think we have dust in Australia? and what's with air filter? Clair air filter?

My friend is in Finland and her house has 4 air purifiers at the moment.

And I just want to know how the pollution level in Beijing is? Can anyone tell?

Re pollution levels check .. http://aqicn.org/city/beijing/us-embassy/

but most people don't have filters.  We just accept it as a fact of life.

Beijing is one of the worst cities in China for pollution. I lived in Shanghai and compared to other places that I lived in Asia and considering how big it was I didn't think it was that bad. But it wasn't the first place I lived in Asia. They say there are worst cities in China for pollution because of the factories. But in Shanghai there are no factories. A filter sounds like a good idea. You could also get some plants for your house. http://www.eslinsider.com/articles/poll … receptacle
