Meeting new people in Kuwait

I would like to meet new people in Kuwait.
I will be visiting on Dec 6th for one week as I am planning to move there.
I would like to learn more about Kuwait and make new friends.

What part are you going to visit?.

lol, there is only one part of Kuwait - all of it :P

you can learn more about kuwait by reading through this forum :)

If you have no car it is hard to get to places as well.

Getting about can be a problem if you have no car to visit places.. To see where you would prefer to live...

:P:top:

Fintas/Mangaf/Mahboula all appear to be on the other side of civilization :S

and ur absolutely correct, without a car, living in those areas is tediously boring, no offence to all living there.

only on a visit? just provide me your contact details peadd

Hello everybody,

This is to inform you that some inappropriate posts have been removed from this topic.

Thanks

Priscilla

I am visiting Kuwait on a regular basis. perhaps monthly. I live in Dubai and travel to Kuwait for business. After one or two business meetings , life gets boring and would like to share experiences and meet interesting and exciting , like minded people. I have an MBA from the US and have worked for top multi nationals like Ernst & Young, Pricewaterhouse, schlumberger... etc.

Now run a multi million dollars manufacturing and trading company in electronics, called Technosat. my e mail is   [email protected]

Hi Madeline338,most welcomed to Kuwait,

hope you enjoy it here, also be careful of the friends you choose here.

Hi Madeline...It may be late, but I am happy to help you if I can...I live in Salmiya and feel free to call me if you like on : 51247896. Best wishes

wow madeline you have caused quite a stir before even arriving!

3 numbers in a row!

people please calm down and stop throwing your numbers around the forum so easily; why would a stranger contact you directly for information just because you say you can provide it?

how about this, contribute constructively to the forum first! dont just say, i can help you, here is my number, call me when you get here. this is not an escort service :P

people come to the forum for information, give them the information they need.

now yes it could be perceived as being overly friendly, but please do not share your personal number on a public forum.

thank you :)

Hello dear,

The amount of desperation in this and lot of other topics is almost tangible. :)

@Boy76 yes, I will like to meet you and share opinions together. you can whatsapp or call me on ***
thanks

OMG what were we just talking about @Ribosom?!!

people please READ what is being asked before throwing your numbers at her like some ravenous hyenas!

a) she arrived Dec 6 for one week, meaning she came and left already on Dec 13th.
b) she asked to learn more about Kuwait, which no one answered on the forum, where she posted her question in the first place.

*sigh*

Wow the thirst is real!!!

Legacy: no one answered on the forum but that doesn't mean they didn't PM her ;)

Gentlemen, are you the kind of people who write their phone number on pieces of paper and give them to women in the street without even introducing themselves ? That situation is just ridiculous, and it really upsets me.

Julien, Tina, you would be sad to know that that is an established method of flirtation in Kuwait - i havent seen it for a very long time, however most people driving around in cars with their BB pins, Twitter handles, Mobile numbers etc. stickered on the rear are doing so to attract the attention of the opposite sex and entice them to take their numbers down (and call).

i even saw it in a mall once! a young man ran after a young woman (walking with her mother mind you) and "discreetly" slipped his number on a piece of paper into her hand.

i think we need a 3-strike rule for just throwing out your number on the forum without really giving any tangible offer of assistance.

reminds me of NatGeo Wild.

I did try and help her. I got no reply.

I have also seen women do this to men in the shopping malls.

wow Tootsie! that was gutsie! women doing that to men?!

some people come to the forum seeking advice and are turned off by the "negative" attention they attract "/ thank you either way for offering her assistance, maybe she made it here, maybe she did not. the important thing is that you gave her info.

yeah, there's a motive to that one... it's pretty universal ...not just in Q8 ... lol

Maybe in night clubs over here.(UK). Not in shopping centres. :)

I can name three different "Malls" in Kuwait in which I've had numbers handed off to me by females, but with a specific intent in mind, at one place the girls involved and the reasoning that I was told (I asked around about it to several people I knew working there), it was actually quite shocking - lol - and I'm neither prudish nor naive.

Wow exchanging numbers at the mall... reminds me of my jr high school days! It's funny and kind of sad to hear about it being done as an adult. The nightclub makes a lot more sense... a girl doesn't spend hours getting ready to impress herself  :D

@legacy: don't feel bad she made it here and home safely and got the advice she needed from a fellow New Yorker friend  :top:

Hi everyone!

I'm a new expat in Kuwait community and will be arriving on 27 December 2014! I hope to meet more friends in Kuwait. Let's get together! :)

Rayson
