How's Mahé anno 2014 ?

Dear expat,
We are an Indo – Belgian married couple (Mini & Chris) without children, actually taking a sabbatical year in Gent, Belgium.
As in the past we both have been living and working in Mahé for several years (Mini 5 years, Chris 2 x 3 months) and we liked it very much, we are now looking for a way to come back and stay for a much longer period, maybe for good.
For now, we would like to come around October 15 and would like to ask you, where we can stay economically or perhaps with you during 2-4 weeks. In that time we would like to look around for an economical place to stay (a small rented house with a garden or with a bigger plot for planting and small animal rearing).
We also would like to ask you, if you know of any available jobs on Mahé. If we can secure at least a job for Mini, we could come much earlier.
Mini has more than 5 years of experience in the hotel & tourism sector and would like to apply either as a kitchen commis, guest care taker or as a responsible at the front office or similar services, as she speaks 5 languages, including Creole.
Chris is a professor of 5 Western languages with 40+ years of international experience, also in the 5** tourism sector. He is willing to train hotel staff  (or guests) in Western languages (English - French - German - Spanish - Dutch), take care of leisure management (he practices yoga since very long), coach future guests in yoga or assist them with up to date health advice or offer snooker training. Also private classes would be welcome.
We are both in excellent health and free to join.

Im from south africa.  Heard there is a South African pub or bar on eden island where all the South Africans get together and watch the rugby.  Can somebody tell me where it is please.

Hi Jenniffer, better place to live in Seychelles is say around Victoria, Mont Fleuri, Beau Vallon and some places up in the mountains... and Hi Its on Eden island, there are quite a few places Bravo, Havana Etc on eden island.

I am a 45 y/o Dutch ex mil and war vet still living in the Netherlands.
In the past years I found that Holland is not my place to be any more and after a lot of research I decided to aim my bearings on the more quiet life of the Seychelles.

So I come to the next step.
I have a desire to set up a own little business but I am aware of all the instability's that comes with it so I am also looking into finding a job.
I am a jack of all trades really, over the course of my life I have picked up a lot of technical skills.
Being it from metal worker, welder up to truck mechanic and basic hydraulics.
I am a fast learner with quality in mind and find details important.

As hobby's I lately tinker around with 3D modelling and designing of jewellery and figurines with as goal to sell the 3D printed results online.
And playing with the idea to some day cast my own products in silver or resin :-)

My name is Anton and is working for Siemens in SA. Also staying in Pretoria. I'm in a long relationship with a girl (Yvette) originally from Seyschelles, but also living currently in South Africa. We have a 9yr old son. Yvette has property in the Victoria area on the Mahe island, where we will be staying from September 2015. I'm seriously looking at oppportunities to earn an income, by either starting my own businees there. I will always have one foot in SA, so because of this I was thinking to import products from SA to Seyschelles... I would prefer to generate my own money. My girlfriend is sorted, as she has a share in a family business in Seyschelles. Any advise or ideas would be great. Once there I would also love to link up with South Africans for friendship and to enjoy the outdoors etc.
