I'm a professional engineer just been offered a permanent position in Doha with a consulting engineering company. So, I'll be looking for accommodation long-term, preferably not too far from a gym

Saw your blog. Atkins consulting engineers at this stage but still considering PSTech, Parsons Brinkerhoff and QPM.
How about you? I should mobilise in about two to three weeks.

WSP Group for me (they recently merged with Parsons anyway). I'm just sorting out my document attesting right now......not a quick process but I'll get there!!

yes - 2 skype interviews......haven't been in the middle east since '94, used to live in Sharjah. Never worked there but certainly looking forward to it. Watching lots of youtube vids about Doha in the meantime.
