Is Rosarito Beach Safe?

Seems like it was pretty safe many years ago, then there were some few years where it was really bad there. Then it got better but recently i read now its back to what to not good anymore.

I'm an american and would be looking to stay at one of those downtown condos.

I hear lot of conflicting stories where some ppl say its safe but then i also hear lot of ppl mention it isn't and thats why its deserted.

I'm an American living in Rosarito Beach. I feel very safe. My wife and I have been visiting or living in Baja Norte for many years. We've never felt concern for our safety. Thst is not to say that there have not been incidence here, but like anywhere else, if you do not put yourself in harms way you should never have a problem.

These are pretty recent. The first one is an american from their point of view.

These are all in rosarito beach. So these things are all far from the tourist area then? However few of them mention tourists as well.
