Can any one tell me anything about regional accents. are accents a big thing here? which accents are considered more elite and which are deemed difficult to understand. Is there a north south divide or an east west or just based on the number of people a person meets or the standard of education.

C"est comme Angleterre ! If you go south they speak more casual, de la nord quicker !! Listen to French Europe then listen to french Quebec ! The same with English, (combien ans vous habitez en France ?)

Technically 2 years, lived here when I was 2 years old till the age of 4, french was my first language. Been back just a month or so wondering why I ever left.

If you are in Toulouse the you should go to Mezzo Mezzo Restaurant in Brugieres,ask for Tomack and say Woody and Veronique sent you for some special food and Wine,They"re all great people French/English.
