I'm a South African Citizen and would like to travel in New Zealand, but I would like to know if there is a demand in catering or hospitality industry there, I have 12 years expirience in theindustry as a cook, Catering supervisor.
What can I be aware and expect? And what is the cost of leaving? including accommodation. Also would like to know with a visitor visa can I look for job and then apply for a work permit?

Lots of seasonal jobs during summer in the hospitality industry. Best is to visit for a a few weeks, and stay with someone you know from your country through church or networking, and look for a job once you arrive. It is tough though since finding a place to stay for short duration is hard unless you already have friends or relatives here.
