A day in the life ......

Planner, a lovely lady, started a topic by this name on another continent.
I asked nicely, and the lady agreed to rent me the subject.

So, how about a page from your diary?

I'll start with my plans for tomorrow.
I have decided to make myself employable as I love spending money, well, my wife does, so I intend to attend a conference about a bunch of ESL English text books and how to go about using them properly.
I already have a set and, I have to be honest, they look pretty great, so I think this will be very useful to me.
I'm looking at setting up a home English course, where people will pay me hard cash for lesson in English conversation.
Other than that, my unborn monster was checked up with ultrasound a couple of days ago, and we were informed the head was now pointing down, so I packed an overnight bag and will leave it in the car.

Anyone else care to contribute?

Well my day today started at 5am when my son woke up for food and nappy changing. Then by 6.30 my wife had gone to work and so I spent the next 3 hours with my son, making sure he was fed and washed and having fun.
After dropping him off at the mother in laws I then went to work by bike which took about 40 minutes.
I started work around 11. I planned lessons for my classes today and also held training on teaching younger learners.
I will finish at 9pm due to the nature of my job and the once home. I will eat, read and eventually pass out around midnight.

I am staying in the Mulia over the weekend so that's something to look forward to before getting back at it again next week.

My yesterday was interesting - in parts.
Driving to Jakarta early in a morning is easy going, returning at night is horrible - more on that later.
My day started with beans on toast ala Fred - that's mixed spicy ketchup - lovely.
The gathering got together well, with a friendly and expectant air, totally destroyed by the first speaker who was blabbering on about motivation, but couldn't motivate a hungry dog to eat a juicy steak - he was crap, as all the people chatting in small groups and checking their mobiles testified to.

The second was hardly going to cause an earthquake of applause, but at least everyone put their phones away.

The afternoon saw the third presentation; an Indian lady from Singapore took the controls and gave us a afternoon we didn't want to end. By "great", I mean ruddy fantastic.
At 4.30, the dude at the back reminding the speaker of the time was frantically waving his little flag, but no one wanted to know as we were all lapping up the terrific performance given by the lady.

I almost forgot to mention lunch. The crowds escaped the first speakers and, like some biblical story, exited the rooms but, unlike in the bible, it took about 40 seconds to get to the promised land - the buffet.
I saw the mass of sweaty bodies, and went to Burger king.
Upon my return, I sniffed out the food, and managed a small plate of wonderful spicy chicken, a bit of beef and a little rice.

Home time came upon us, so we all buggered off to the lifts and played sardines, we even had a realistic can to play in.
Getting out of the car park was also hard work, with Indonesian drivers living up to their reputation as dangerously crap drivers.
My sat nav enabled on my phone, I attempted to navigate to Jalan tol, hoping not to crash into any mindless loonies that were driving more like mister bean in a dodgem car than anyone that should have been anywhere near a public road - at least without the excuse of being blind drunk.

Home safe and sound, only to be asked to fetch some bananas.

Breakfast is now in the past, spicy chicken soup on a bed of mashed potato.

I wonder what today will bring.

Now we know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall.

Today was full of wonderful and really wild things.
It started very early when, due to being hot and sweaty, I woke up at silly o'çlock and played on the internet, including this forum.
After that, I tried to sleep again but the dreams kept waking me up.
I would explain the dreams but they're probably illegal, so I won't.
At a little after 6, we set off to the park, where we stayed for a while, Michelle mostly playing in the sand pit, me mostly eating dim sum.
After that, we went shopping in Giant supermarket, but would have if we hadn't totally forgotten it was the holiday, so nothing opened until after 11am - well, almost nothing.
Dunkin donuts provided us with a place to sit down, but after the toilet, we washed our hands and ate a snack.
After messing around on the internet, using my very posh S5, it was almost 11, so we went to SMS mall, where I looked for a really small USB hub to replace the cheap and nasty one I managed to break yesterday, and Sulis went shopping in the supermarket.
After totally failing to buy any cheap crap, I joined my lady wife in the supermarket, where I looked at the prices and said, "Bugger this for a game of soldiers, Giant is a lot cheaper".
We abandoned the trolly and went to the car, making our way to the supermarket - we did the shopping again, but this time we went though the checkout with the stuff, and I found a really cheap crappy USB hub to replace the cheap crappy one I'd broken before.
Oops, forgot, I had a kebab in the shopping mall - excellent.
We went home, but I went back out to do a few things, including see the trouble and strife's sister, who we're putting through school because her dad is too skint to pay, and not bright enough to earn much money.
I also managed to get some very nice photos - I'll post them on that thread when I get a bit of free time; probably tomorrow.
I also spoke to the Arab language teacher, and corrected a lot of his English, then chatted to a few people I knew until the wife phoned me in a "get home now" sort of way.
"Yes, darling", and I went home.

Home saw me grab a fast shower, then move the bedroom from one room to another, then try to call my mum, no joy there, she's probably gone out for lunch with my sister, now I'll have a quick mess on the net, and go to bed.

I'm chatting with mum now, she just got home.

My day start with rubbing the eyes and hoping is still early  :D

May I join in your English course as a helper?? I had my dream to set one in my village and hopefully a library as well

It will be tiny, small, and not very big, probably just a few students per class, and done from home. Seems there are very few native speakers around here, so I should get a few customers.
I think I've gone for the right text books, but only intend to start a conversation course, not the rest of the book.
I'm such a pro, I've even got lesson plans and powerpoint presentations are being made.
It'll be low key, no actual advertising and, if what immigration told me is correct, no one will come hunting for me for breaking immigration or work permit laws.

Now, back to this ruddy day in the life stuff.
My day was, as Plato might very well have said, crap.
It all started when I decided to obey my wife's command to take her and my daughter to the park, to be followed by some shopping.
I immediately turned off my computer, replied, "Ya sayang", too a shower (I won't mention the toilet), brushed my tooth, and got the car ready.
Ah (Insert very naughty word here), my tyre looks a little low on air.
I drove about 50m, checked it, screamed really naughty words (without using my vocal cords as my daughter was in the car), and changed the now totally flat tyre at the side of the road.
I went to the nearest tyre repair place, as suggested by the satpam (Security guard).
It was a dump, so I didn't bother, moving on to a classy looking place - that didn't have the right tyre.
Daihatsu was just down the road, they're gunna have one - not.
Neither did the tyre place in Giant, or that French supermarket I can't spell the name of, and don't care that I can't spell it because I'm English and will spell and pronounce it as I ruddy well want - remember Agincourt?.
I went to BSD, finding a place near the cop shop that did have the right size - a cheap Rp350,000.
I should explain - a tyre can normally be repaired, but this thing had a shard of wood in the side wall, so it was totally buggered.
I suspect the damage was done on Jalan toll last Saturday, when I hit a large piece of wood that had just been thrown up by the car in front. I checked the tyre at the time, but didn't notice a problem - I was probably wrong.

On these travels to find a tyre, I almost had a series of accidents, and saw a couple more.
Indonesian motorcyclist are mad, totally very naughty Anglo Saxon swear word mad.
The first ............... hang on - In the air tonight is on TV, back in a moment......

....I love that song, but I'm back now.

... was a motorbike that jumped a red light, even though there was a stream of traffic, and turned right, directly into the path of another bike. The collision was minor, but knocked the second bike off course, almost hitting a waiting car.
The next was a total moron, texting whilst riding. He had no clue he'd wandered to my side of the road, or even there was a car about to squash him. The mad sod very nearly fell off when he finally heard my frantic horn blasts and looked up from his phone; a phone that was clearly smarter than him.
Another pulled out of a junction without looking, missing the microbus, but almost hitting me as he wobbled his was out of danger. Absolutely no control of his machine, or brain, he was lucky not to get his entrails spread all over the road, like some sort of failed pizza topping.

The rest were all kids, no helmet, no brains for helmet to protect, no licence, no roadworthy bikes but really daft parents that allow the silly sods to ride motorbikes at such a young age with no training.

In BSD, we wandered to a restaurant called, SS - great place.
Top quality food, and really cheap. I love the place.
My red hot mouth kept me awake whilst Michelle placed in the sand pit at a local park, but the public toilet proved to be really handy.
It would have been better if the lock works, but luck held out, and no one tried to get in whilst my shorts weren't covering my modesty (and my excellent quality man bits).
After that, ice creams in WTC plaza, whilst my wife was spending all my money on baby blankets and such stuff.

I'm so sorry to heard that. Let's just being positive. Somehow who stole Ur phone need it more than U.. Let It Go, And next time be carefull for Ur belonging. The lessons are learned.. Hope u gonna have a beautiful day tomorrow..

Thank you Bella ,, well I'm not keeping sadness for long yesterday was history it's a good lesson indeed .
good day for you dear friend
Cheers

Alexander Graham Bell said "When one door closes, another opens; but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one that has opened for us."i believe on that

My day was uneventful - but I made a killer spag bol.
Massive portion, should keep me going for days.
By "going", I mean there is loads of chilli in it.

Oops nice 'catch' mas Fred ,, those cops should given good lesson indeed
With the new president being inauguration soon hope this kind of habit by cops would get lessen

He said I cut lanes, I did not as I moved to the correct lane as the signs directed, and well before I was in his view anyway.
He insisted, writing 500,000 on his hand, as I pretended nit to understand.
He dropped to Rp100,000, as I continued to totally fail to understand him.
Then "Up to you", followed by a get lost as I really pressed the 'don't understand' at him.
My covert camera was on him as he demanded the cash but, being a covert camera, the bar steward had no clue he was being filmed.
Nice video, but the face isn't all that clear as the light was being him.
I must see if his name is visible.
Maybe I'll post it, if the details are there.

Good trick you Done mas Fred ,,, bravo

Standard operating procedure in China when you're stopped by police is to pretend not to understand Chinese.  9 out of 10 foreigners swear by it.  The other 1 in 10 seem to go missing.

Funny few days.
Friday was a false alarm- we thought Charles Edward was going to arrive, so we stuffed the kit in the car, buggered off to the hospital ... but nothing.

Saturday was so uneventful, I can't remember anything about it.

Sunday saw us at the park - and my wife buying tiny hermit craps for the kid.
I have to work out how to stop them snuffing it - unsure as yet, but time will tell if I managed.
I tried to service my car, but although all the service bays were empty, Daihatsu BSD claimed they were full, so unable to do it. I really hate that lot - they've lied and generally made a pig's ear of everything to do with my car, including supplying illegal number plates. I really must advise everyone to leave these fools alone, and buy somewhere else. I should in fairness mention, Daihatsu Bintaro have been very helpful.
Sunday also saw us at Living world, a shopping centre, where I had a top quality beef sandwich at Raffles. Not cheap, but seriously yummy.
I wanted to go to the cinema in the evening to watch Chef. Well worth the trip to Lotte Mall Bintaro's cinema 21. Really good film, excellent sausage and chips, and that spicy caramel popcorn is amazing. Not a film for the kids - way too many really naughty words.
Today was quiet, but I decided to be really cool by putting a moving bubble screensaver/wallpaper on my S5, and opening a twitter account.
No one is following me yet, but I may get some followers of my twitterings if I actually tell anyone the name of the thing. I would do so now, but I've forgotten and I've already turned my phone off.
I will now get a quick shower, then off to bed where I'll have a really filthy dream I can't possibly give details about here, but will make a great pornographic novel, so hot it will have to be sold with an asbestos cover.

:thanks: my day start by saying thank U and ends by saying forgive me. TO God

Most of my day was at a hospital.
My kid, who is almost as handsome as me, is still having a few problems, but getting better.
He's still having some difficulty breathing, but this is much better now.
He has an infection, but that's clearing up.
He went a touch yellow, but blue light treatment is looking after that.
My wife was discharged from hospital today, but I returned later to check on mini Fred.
