Student looking for accomodation in Cologne

Hi
I am a Norwegian student who will live 7 months in Cologne (January to July)
Will study at Cologne Business School which has its Campus in Neustadt Süd.

What I was wondering if there is anyone who can recommend a place to live or which area is good?
I like to go jogging in the morning and also prefer a gym close by. Bars and clubs, centrum or just a place where there is life is also preferable not too far away
Can travel 15 minutes with public transport to get to Campus that's not a problem. Heard cologne is good for bicycling also.
Appreaciate all inputs ! Budget 300 to 500 Euros a month.
