Canadian Curious.

Hi everyone ,
i am 53 and my wife {Debbie] and i are looking for info about retiring in T &C . We are from Winnipeg and some of you might know Winnipeg is the second coldest city on the planet with a population over 700,000 people. My parents were  both born in England , i was born in Canada.  I was wondering if that fact alone would make it easier for us to  live in Turks & Caicos since it's under the British flag?
I am not sure of employment opportunities for a 53 yr old sales professional [ Food Service Distribution] but i would entertain an offer if presented to me.We have traveled extensively throughout the Caribbean and Mexico the past 15 years and would like to visit your islands this coming winter.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Hope to hear from someone.
Cheers.
Glenn
